Vanne McMillan

Vanne McMillan started drawing before she could read. As a toddler she could always be seen with bags of art supplies. In high school she turned her artistic gift into her first fashion design business-Milkshake. After attending the University of Missouri-Columbia she continued pursuing her dream.

She is now the founder of Vanne McMillan Fashion|Art|Style. In the last 20 years she has perfected her craft and created an international styling brand creating visual art for Macy’s, Saks Fifth Avenue, Alice & Olivia, and Restoration Hardware and fashion design work for Victoria Secret’s. Along the way she perfected her craft working with Project Runway stars Mychael Knight and Rodney Epperson.

She is now known for styling photo shoots, for magazines, television and music videos in addition to creating fashionable art for national and local designers and boutiques including, being the lead stylist for Sally’s Beauty Mo Knows Hair campaign. In Atlanta and New York City she worked on sets for MTV and Sony Pictures in addition to creating visuals for rappers Future and Young Scooter. She has styled for Adore Adorn Fine Jewelry, Asiyami Gold for South African magazine Radiant Health, Kiss Magazine, Rico Love, Robin V and many more.

Since relocating back home Vanne McMillan had continued going full force. She serves as fashion consultant and stylist for Grammy Award nominated producer JoBlaq and his Distrkct label artists. She has styled photographer and international Fenty Model Steven G, styled the hosts of Great Day KC and styles the bi-annual magazine for the iconic Tivol jewelry brand. Her work and dedication earned her Best Stylist at the 2022 Kansas City People’s Choice Awards. Her works can be seen on nationwide advertisements.
