Greetings my Legendary Friends,
I really wanted you all to get a better view of my look from my Kansas City night on the town. As stated in the previous entry, this is a very simple dress from H&M. What I love so much about this dress is the versatility of it. In my opinion its probably one of the best dresses I own right now not only for my shape, but also my lifestyle.
Being a on the go diva with a full time job and a full time dream, I’m always looking for pieces that can be worn from day to night with slight accessory adjustments, as well as be extremely flattering to my shape. I am not the skinniest chicken in the farm, nor the biggest, so getting around these 34 D’s ( that get in the way by the way,) as well as being a women of color with a bottom, things are not especially made for me. So when little numbers that I can wear for all my events in a day and doesn't make me look 50 pounds larger than what I am, I’m all for it.
Ironically enough my little brother Larry happened to show me the dress while we were in the store. At first I said “Absolutely not, this is going to make me look huge.” He gave me the look of woman hush and made me try it on. Thank GOD for him, otherwise I would have looked over this little number based purely over hanger appeal. So, Larry, thank you jerk.
While you are out shopping, make sure you try to find “all purpose” pieces. Having that multipurpose piece doubles your wardrobe in what you can wear, and how you want to style it.
Examples: blazers, knee length dresses, the perfect fitting bootleg jeans, and some clutches.
